Embrace Uncertainty and Build from Scratch
Joining Rviewer was stepping into the unknown in the best possible way. It was the smallest company that I had ever worked at, with just around 20 people, and no one really knew exactly what my role would look like. But that was part of the challenge.
We were a tight-knit team from different areas, working day-to-day to build a new product and find the elusive product-market fit. I brought my experience from product-driven companies and helped to build the Talent team's approach – from working on consultancy for many years to building a talent platform that connected top talent with the best companies.
It wasn't easy. Early-stage startups are filled with ambiguity, and I had to adapt constantly: wearing multiple hats, collecting and understanding hiring needs with clients across the globe and pivoting our strategy repeatedly.
Eventually, I said goodbye to Rviewer when the product didn't quite land in the market. But the truth is that working at Rviewer taught me what it's like to work in consultancy, understanding different stakeholders and clients in the same company, and running many processes simultaneously and feeling the pressure of reaching the hires we needed. Now, I appreciate much more the great effort that consultancy recruiters make.
